Jonathan Gibbs
Project Manager

Jonathan received his Bachelor of Architecture and Masters in Construction Management, from Virginia Tech. He joined YSM in 2011, bringing 11 years of experience as a project manager at other firms.

"I'm from a blue-collar background and I look at the automotive projects from the point of view of the service department staff, for example, who'll be working there. I want to take care of details, like making sure there is good lighting and plenty of space in the shop. We give them colors and paints that help them feel like they're part of the dealership; not just the grease guys in the back."

YSM's compact size and focus on innovation is a plus for clients and team members alike, Jonathan says. "It's a very personal environment, with a team aspect to match. I'm also impressed by the way Miguel embraces new technology; we always have the latest software to work with. And the firm cares about career development. We are great at teaching interns and acknowledging that each of us has career ambitions."

Jonathan's love of architecture came at an early age. "Blame it on the Lego Corporation," he says. "I've always wanted to build things, understand how they work, how the pieces fit together."
