Byung graduated the Universidad de Belgrano, Argentina, where he received his Bachelor of Architecture in 2001.

He moved to Atlanta in 2002, where he served as an intern architect and illustrator while learning all the intricacies of commercial construction. It was here that Byung began to focus his work on automotive dealerships, specializing in conceptual design and construction.

By 2008 Byung was team leader and account manager for AutoNation and Sonic Automotive overseeing the design and construction of $50 million projects.

Byung joined YSM Design in 2009 to concentrate on retail, automotive and general architecture. He is in charge of conceptual design, construction documents and construction administration.

For Byung, the multi-disciplinary aspect of the industry is one of its best parts: "It's not just about buildings and architecture. It's about economics and other industries. We work with so many people who have different backgrounds, from a tile-setter to the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, and you have to put yourself in the shoes of all these people.

Byung also likes the fast pace of the work and its requirement to constantly solve problems." I'm very hands on―somebody who is calm in tough situations. In our industry we have a very quick turnaround for delivery, and I enjoy that challenge."
