Cord McLean graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor of Architecture in 2011 and started working with YSM earlier in the year.

"I was destined to become an electrical engineer," Cord says. His grandfather founded McLean Engineering, which Cord's father and three uncles worked for. But building was in his future, and more inspiration was found all around his hometown of Moultrie, Georgia, famous for the work of residential architect William Frank McCall Jr. "I lived in two of his homes," Cord says. "And when I got into school I just fell in love with architecture."

What Cord enjoys most about his work at YSM is the access he gets to learn new things. "They push all their employees to have well-rounded experience in architecture. They want each of us of have a solid foundation so we can grow as a company."
